Christ often made clear to the people in his ministry that they must be reborn of water, and his apostles always instructed new converts to be baptized, but this was in the Old Covenant era, and we are now in the New Covenant, so is baptism still a necessary step in bringing oneself into full communion with Christ and His Kingdom? I’ve heard some say yes and some say no, and would like the opinion of the people in this site.
